Our commitments

Our commitments to our purpose

Everything we do supports people into work, helps them develop on the job and move into the next job. And we understand the positive impact skills development has on personal achievement, organisational success and national productivity.

We believe in sharing our progress against our purpose and demonstrating the impact that we have, not only on the communities in which we serve, but also in making our workplace a more equitable and inclusive place for our diverse employees.

Here you will find our latest reports that measure our progress and keep us accountable.

Annual reports

As a charity we have a commitment to report annually on how we spend our money. Here you will find the latest version of our annual report.

Ethnicity pay gap reports

We believe that gender is just one important metric but there are other things we need to look at to understand the reasons behind pay disparities across our workforce. This year we have published an ethnicity pay gap for the first time, we have looked at the detail behind the headlines and we have worked with our racial equality group to put in measures and commitments that will help us to narrow the gap.

Gender pay gap reports

We understand our responsibility to publish our annual gender pay gap report and you will find that here. We also want to share a report we have created that gives more insight into the reasons behind the gap and the steps we are taking to reduce it.

Social impact reports

We produce an annual social impact report that highlights the achievements we have made in changing lives through skills, and eventually we aim to measure all of our skills solutions against the impact they have on people, organisations and economies.

Responsible Business

At City & Guilds we are committed to reducing our negative impacts on the environment and supercharging our positive social impact by developing the skills needed to create a more sustainable world.

At City & Guilds we are committed to playing our part in getting to Net Zero. We place these commitments at the heart of our responsible business strategy. We are actively pursuing them in the knowledge that they make it possible for us to keep delivering our purpose: to help people, organisations and economies develop the skills they need for growth.
